I went to Kalye a few weekends ago and to say that the atmosphere and food was amazing is an understatement. As soon as you walk the friendly and attentive staff gave us our menu and let us take our time ordering. We knew immediately we wanted lumpia so we made sure to put that order in while we took our time ordering the main entree and our drinks. We decided on pork sisig which was enough for two people and by the time we placed that order our lumpia had come out. We also ordered one braguda cocktail that quickly turned into two once it was shared. The lumpia itself was not oily, perfectly crunchy, seasoned great, and generous in the meat filling. It was by far the best lumpia I’ve had to date and we ended up ordering a second round. We then received our pork sisig and two orders of inasal rice which came out warm with a warning not to touch the skillet that the pork sisig came out in. Both were absolutely phenomenal with the pork sisig being the best I have ever had at a Filipino restaurant. Giving this is a 2 star instead of a 5 because of their poor customer service. We found this restaurant 3 weeks ago and we’ve been going each weekend for the food. However, they consistently give us the high top small table even though the normal, wider tables are empty on either side. Today was our 3rd time and we asked for the normal tables but got rejected by the waiter - he said because they weren’t ready (there were seven sets of empty and clean tables and this was at 3pm on a Saturday - barely anyone in the restaurant). The waiter then doubled down and said there were reservations. We took the high top table and intentionally just ordered 1 main and dessert to our disappointment. An hour later after eating and before we left, no one sat in the normal tables. It feels we were lied to. Ironically, the entire time, another worker there was sorting out spoons and forks in the normal tables. Customer service needs to improve. Even the halo halo came out too long after we had the main. We kept signaling we were ready for the dessert and the main waiter couldn’t see us because he was watching tv and his back was to us. Food was good but we won’t be coming back.

Amazing experience at Kalye! The food, drinks, decor, atmosphere and most of all… the service! Brandon, Eamonn and Mary were all incredible. So attentive and kind and made our experience that much more wonderful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to eat some yummy Filipino food!!

So good!! Had the kinilaw, bbq skewers and grilled okra (not pictured) to start! All so tasty! The kare kare and Sinigang for our mains, so flavorful! And halo halo and cassava cake to end! We also had a few cocktails and mocktail with ube and calamansi. Such cute ambiance in there too. Next time wanna try the boodle fight!

Walked in with my husband before dinner rush and had a great time at Kalye. Our server Justyn was an absolute gem of a human, made us feel so welcomed. He gave great recommendations and informed us about the happy hour! Cant wait to go back. Must trys are bbq skewers(and the sauce that comes with it is the best—I put it on eveything), kunilaw and the chicken inasal (it was juicy and the rice was yum!).
